Dunsters Farm’s Jeremy Mathew up for Lifetime Achievement Award

Dunsters Farm are delighted to announce our Executive Chairman, Jeremy Mathew has been shortlisted for the FBU Family Business Lifetime Achievement Award.

The awards organised by Family Business United (FBU) annually, are created to recognise special individuals who have contributed to their own family business and built an incredible legacy.

As Paul Andrews, Founder & CEO of Family Business United explains, “We regularly meet family members in their business who are inspirational and driven, passionate and committed and with the long-term desire to pass the business on to the next generation in as sustainable a position as possible.  Family firms need ambassadors, and the Lifetime Achievement Award seeks to celebrate the finalists, and ultimately recognise their contribution, with an overall winner each year.”

After 40 years at Dunsters Farm, Jeremy has seen the business grow from a well-known yogurt brand to a commercial fleet delivering to schools, hospitals, and wholesalers throughout the North.

Bringing dynamism and forward-thinking, Jeremy has been at the forefront of new developments in the organisation and sector, introducing vehicle refrigeration, expansion into new customer markets and even installing the business’s first computer 35 years ago!

Last year Jeremy stepped down from his role as Managing Director, passing the baton to his children, Hannah & Tom, who will be working hard to build on the incredible reputation created by their father at Dunsters Farm.

Today, Jeremy is still a very active member of the team, with his recent appointment as Executive Chairman and continuous support of the accounts team on a day-to-day basis.

After dedicating over four decades to foodservice, helping feed our region’s schools, hospitals, and local cafes, the whole team are delighted to see his work being recognised. Jeremy joins a shortlist of incredible family business ambassadors who have also been recognised for their tremendous efforts over the years.

A panel of expert judges will now deliberate between the handful of worthy finalists, and a winner will be announced at the National Family Business Dinner, taking place at Pennyhill Park in September 2023.
