Team Dunsters Recognised at House of Parliament Awards Event
Dunsters Farm is pleased to announce that three team members were recently recognised at the FWD Wholesale Stars event, which took place last month at the Terrace Pavilion at the Houses of Parliament. The FWD Skills, Training, and Apprenticeship awards were presented to 35 individuals on April 18th, who are developing their skills in the wholesale sector through training, study, and apprenticeships.
Craig Newton, our Buying Director, Ben Stocks, our Assistant Transport Manager, and Emily Buckley, our Finance Assistant, were all recognised at the awards event for their dedication to training and personal development, having successfully completed various qualifications and training over the past 12 months.
Ben Stocks, who attended the event in London, has completed a raft of training over the past few years, while continuing to support the management of our transport department. Since joining us in 2017, Ben has worked his way up from Transport & Operations Assistant to his current role of Transport Assistant Manager. Dunsters Farm has supported him throughout his journey, developing his skills and knowledge base through a variety of training, including qualifications in Team Leadership and Warehouse & Storage Principles.
Ben said of the award win, “attending the FWD Awards Reception was a real highlight for me, an amazing opportunity that I won’t soon forget. It’s also recognising how supportive Dunsters Farm is, as an employer.”
Ben stated that attending the event was a real highlight for him and fantastic recognition of the support Dunsters has given him over the years.
Also receiving an award at the event was Finance Assistant Emily Buckley, who joined us as a Business Admin Apprentice in 2021. During her apprenticeship, Emily showed a true flair for accountancy, and we have nurtured this by appointing her into the role of Finance Assistant and supporting her with her AAT qualification, which she hopes to complete next year.
Buying Director Craig has also made time for his development and recently completed his CIPS Level 4 Diploma in Procurement and Supply Chain Training. Craig is a fantastic advocate for training and has guided many of his staff into further education and/or training. The event gave MPs the opportunity to meet a selection of people who work in the wholesale industry and see first-hand the wealth of talent that is being cultivated in our sector through training and development.
